Starting from June 2016 the Computer and Mathematical physics Library (Center n. 3) is equipped with visually impaired devices, thanks to a donation of the Leo Club Association, under the UniLeo4light project.
New devices will allow to zoom written words as required and to briefly translate written text to speech text.
The inauguration ceremony of the new devices was held on Monday, June 20, 2016 at presence of Prof. Paolo Mancarella, the newly elected chancellor of the University of Pisa, who have followed such initiatives in the past, as the Head of the Service for Integration of Students with Disabilities (USID), of Prof. Buttazzo, the president of the University Library System (SBA), and the Leo Club, USID and SBA representatives.
